The IberoAmerican Theatre Festival's Inauguration Parade

The bi-annual (every two years) Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro is about to start, and they inaugurated it this afternoon with a colorful parade down Jimenez Avenue.

All of the comparsas in today's birthday parade for Bogotá were colorful. But this one, sending up the Spanish Inquisition, was my favorite, for its opinionatedness and polemicity.

Scenes from Bogotá's colorful birthday parade 2014. The most original, controversial and opinionated comparsa, however, was the one satirizing the Spanish Inquisition. About the only thing that one was lacking was the procurador himself.
