Up Seventh Ave., the Tough Way

This evening, I watched this man and his dog pushing his loaded cart uphill on Carrera 7, against ongoing traffic. He was making a tremendous effort, as well as risking his life.

This man is a member of the one percent - the bottom one percent of society. And altho he probably doesn't pay income taxes, he obviously works hard and makes sacrifices most of us would not dream of  in order to survive.

And he's not asking anybody for any favors.
