The MOMA's Permanent Collection

A chained electric chair?
Part of Bogotá's Museum of Modern Art's permanent collection, on display now.

What the stuff means, who knows?

This one reminds me a bit of the San Agustin monuments, influenced by Disney.

A tomb.

A Salvador Dali figure.

Two chair - the profound meaning is evident.

I think the two chairs are Doris Salcedo's work, although I'm not entirely sure, I do not recognize the rest of the works, but that is because the last time I visit the MOMA was almost 20 years ago. Mike, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you do not like conceptual art?? Sorry if I'm wrong.

I like art which does something concrete: entertain, make you think, make a statement, be beautiful...lots of abstract, modern art does none of those things, at least not for me.
